Beginner Golf Lessons - Fundamentals Of The Correct Golf Swing

If you have recently caught the golf bug then you may be looking for some beginner golf lessons that will teach you how to play better golf. It can be so frustrating investing time practicing only to find yourself blowing up on one hole when you get on the course. While watching coverage of the many golf tournaments screened live on the television, it has struck me how many different swings you will find amongst the professionals.

To the untrained eyes of the week-end, social golfer it may appear that each professional has his own peculiar swing. However, once you have had a few beginner golf lessons, you will come to realize that there are some core fundamentals which make up the correct golf swing. If you look again at the star golfers it becomes clear that a successful drive comes from a swing that has certain key fundamentals in it.

So then you might ask what are these key fundamental concepts of a good golf swing?

The manner in which the swing is executed is immaterial as long as the club face impacts the ball correctly. Aligning yourself in the direction you want the ball to go. Turn your body on the back swing and execute the swing with a smooth tempo. So, before you desperately try to implement the latest new technique, remember that good golf is based on these unchanging fundamentals. Remember that how you get to the impact position is not nearly as important as the square position at impact.

So, when you are studying your beginner golf lessons do not be too concerned about what your swing shape is as long as you have the correct position at impact. If you can achieve this position at impact then you are well on your way to a good golf swing.

Another key point to bear in mind, as you take your beginner golf lessons is that the supposed correct golf swing cannot be repeated so as to make an exact copy each time. This is one of the best features about the game of golf - that it is so inconstant.

There are two main methods that will achieve this fundamental correct position at impact

Open-To-Closed Clubface Movement

This movement is achieved when the clubface begins square to the ball, then opens by turning clockwise with the backward movement of the club on the backswing. As the clubface comes down again, it moves in an anticlockwise direction and so it closes until it impacts the ball square once again.

The movement of the clubface as described here happens naturally when the club is taken back, the body turns and the arms swing freely along with the cocking of the wrists.

Closed-To-Open Clubface Movement

This movement is the opposite of the first action described above. The clubfaces closes as it is taken backwards and then opens on the downswing, but again impacts the ball squarely.

So, as you can see there are two main fundamental movements of the clubface to achieve the correct position at impact. In your beginner golf lessons take notice of getting the correct position at impact rather than concerning yourself too much with other details.

Golf Swing Lessons To Help You Break Eighty Shots

Once you are bitten by the golf bug, you will be looking out for tips that will help you to play better golf. As the game of golf involves many different aspects to it, it is not an easy game to pick up quickly. It does get a hold of you and soon you will be looking for golf swing lessons that will help you to break that magical barrier of eighty shots in a round.

Here are four quick tips to help you reduce your handicap.

Have you noticed how focused the professionals become when playing their golf. Those who become really good at it seem to be able to control their emotions. Whether you get frustrated or excited, these emotions can drain you of energy and act as a distraction from that all important concentration that is so vital on the golf course. Have you observed how serene some of the players become? Their faces are actually quite boring and expressionless! Try to emulate these players and you will find you are better able to keep your focus at all times.

Even if you are playing well there may come a time when you need to hole a difficult putt to save par. If you are struggling to read the putt you need to make, take a look behind the hole, and often you will be able to see it better.

Before an important match or competition, take some time to set up your game plan. Get a course planner and figure out what you can do where and when to score. If you get off to a good start, remember to stick to your game plan - don't start playing too cautiously because you are trying to keep that score. Similarly if you are driving the ball well don't decide that this gives you licence to attack each flag disregarding the risk attached to it. Always stick to your game plan that you set up before which would have taken into account the pin position, the wind direction and the overall difficulty of the hole.

A round of golf can take on average four hours to complete so it is important to guard against mental and physical fatigue. Drink plenty of fluids throughout your round, and try to take breaks between shots but remembering to refocus before each shot.

So, there are four tips you can implement to help you break the eighty barrier and play your best round of golf yet.

Jungle Gym And Swing Sets Are Perfect For Kids At Play

Playtime and exercise is an important component to any child's development. It is an ideal way of ensuring that kids familiarize themselves with the physical world around them. While they are growing up, kids should be left to run, jump, crawl, walk around and discover their own physical capabilities and limitations. These experiences are important for enhancing the child's emotional, physical, mental and social development. Swing sets and jungle gyms give children the opportunity to accomplish this by having fun and getting exercise at the same time.

Play sets and jungle gyms make it easy for children to have fun, play and develop in a healthy and active manner. There are different types of swing sets on the market and it is for this reason that you need to find one that suits the individual needs of your child. The following are just some of the things you need to consider when shopping for your set of jungle gym and swing sets.

Safety is probably the most important factor. Make sure that the sets you are choosing have been designed to meet required safety standards. With the advancement in technology in terms of building materials, this concern has become a thing of the past. While traditional sets were only made of wood, new models are made with virtually indestructible plastic, which doesn't break down or splinter. The design of many models is ingenious in the manner they allow for the integration of additional components. There are slides, monkey bars, climbing walls and bridges amongst the plethora of additional components that can be added to your jungle gym at a later time. This means that your choice of model may be based on the space available within your home or backyard.

You may be amazed at how a jungle gym can transform your backyard. You are creating a space where the kids can go to have fun and be themselves yet stay under the watchful eye of a caring parent. Furthermore you are creating an alternative home-based entertainment source to videos games and computers. This play space can also give parents a few minutes to themselves, as kids can be entertained while parents enjoy a relaxing barbeque with friends in the backyard. All that playing might also tire them out, giving you more free time in the evening!

In today's world, exercise for children should always be a concern, as childhood obesity has become a far too common problem. It is integral for a child to get several hours of exercise per week, in order to combat the many hours of television they might be logging. Obesity is an ever-growing concern in today's generation of children, but exercising and playtime on a jungle gym and swing set would definitely be a helpful tool to fight the battle of obesity in kids. It also boosts morale by giving the children something to look forward to. It can also be used as a positive reinforcement method, allowing the children to play on the jungle gym, if their other chores are accomplished. This may be one purchase you make for your child that will be used year after year.

Top Golf Swing Instruction Tips From the Golf Swing Genius

Did you know that improving your golf swing is a process. It is doable for anyone and can be a lot easier than you might have imagined just by knowing a handful of basic key principles. My golf swing instruction method is taught on a gradient scale. If you don't have a proper grip, how can you learn to swing correctly? It's really important to learn the golf swing in the right order so you can stay on top of your game and beat all your friends and playing partners.

The process of improving your golf swing starts with knowing what level you are currently at and where you hope to go. I can definitely help you reach your golf goals but the more aware of your golf swing faults or bad habits you are, the easier the process becomes. When working on your full swing it is helpful to know what your particular shot pattern(s) are. This way we can zero in on what specifically to work on in order to eliminate the particular problem you are having.

Every golfer can usually benefit from monitoring their fundamentals. The first key fundamental is your setup position. The first key of the setup is the grip. Then golf alignment, posture, and ball position need to be correct and in order as well. Once you know you are in the right spots so to speak when it comes to your setup, it's then helpful to focus on key elements of the swing and hopefully the main ones which apply to whatever swing issue you are having.

If you are hitting the ball thin or fat, there are a couple reasons that are probably causing this. At impact it is important to have your torso or center in line with the golf ball. You are moving ahead slightly on your downswing or forward swing but you don't want to move ahead of the ball. This can cause a thin golf shot.

Conversely, if you are hitting fat golf shots, there is a good chance your torso is behind the golf ball too much at impact. You need to be in line with the ball as you are hitting it if you want to have solid contact. The exception to this is when hitting your driver. Here you can be slightly behind the golf ball because you are hitting this club slightly on the upswing and being behind it helps you launch your drives better so you gain extra distance and maximum extension.

If you are having trouble with the direction of your golf shots, you need to check your golf swing sequence. Follow the basic order of leading with your club in both your backswing and your downswing. Getting everything to come through together at impact is a huge key as well as making sure your clubface is square. Remember, mis-direction of your golf shots almost always will be caused by poor sequence of the body and the golf club. You must understand the proper ratio of shoulder to hip turn and the correct order this needs to be in.

Having trouble with getting solid contact can be because of moving too far up or down in your swing. It is a key principle I teach that you want to stay the same height or remain level with the golf ball throughout your golf swing. As you are in the second half of your follow through, you can go ahead and stand up as you finish turning and face your target. Many amateur or higher handicap golfers often have a dip or stand up move going in at some point in their swings. Watch out for this and you'll improve your contact with the golf ball at impact.

More Power To Swing

We all want to strengthen our wrists in order to have more power to swing and hit the golf ball a longer distance. Most of us exercise our arms and shoulders. The job of strengthening is not complete until we fortify our fingers and wrists.

Fine tuning our exercise program for upper body strength needs to also include our wrists and fingers. The wrists being flexible are a tremendous asset. There are times in golf when the wrists need to be kept quiet and have a secure strength which will guarantee more power to swing for longer distances with accuracy.

Swinging a golf club, a tennis racket, a ball bat, a stick, a broom and even a sword require wrists and hands to be strong for power and accuracy. Add the following exercises to your exercise program and you will note the difference in how far you hit the golf ball and more importantly how much strength and control you will have in the follow through.

Here are a variety of exercises which you can do sitting or standing. As you do these exercises be gentle. The wrist muscles are delicate and complex and extremely valuable as they are the bridge between the forearm and the hand.

List of exercises:

Place extended arms at chest level. Open and close your fingers at your desired speed for a minute or more. You will feel your hands warming and the fingers becoming more flexible.
Relax the extended arms to a lower comfortable position and do finger rolls from thumb to little finger and little finger to thumb.
Place extended arms at chest level. Place one hand on top of the other and gently press downward. Hold hand downward for 10 seconds and repeat 10 times. Apply same technique to other hand.
Lower arms and relax. Clasp hands together and press palms. Hold 10 seconds and release. Repeat 10 times. Then place hands in a vertical praying position, press palms. Hold 10 seconds, then release. Repeat 10 times
Place extended arms at chest level. Make a fist and rotate fists from normal position to wrist upward. Repeat this half rotation for a minute. After completing this cycle maintain fist closure and rotate wrists in a circular manner from right to left, then left to right for one minute.
Do wrist curls. Use a prop of a rod, a broom handle, or free weights of 2 or 3 pounds. With forearms resting on a flat surface curl wrists toward the body and release to the beginning position. Repeat this cycle for a minute.
Are you ready for a more challenging exercise? Place your arms on handle bars or a chair and lift your body upward. This will work your wrists, forearm, upper arm, and shoulders. If no bars are available and you cannot find a suitable chair in the home which will allow you to do this exercise then consider Yoga poses of crane, peacock or plank.

After strengthening your wrists and hands improve your game by discovering other techniques to hit greater distances. Visit the sports section of Infotrish at http://www.Infotrish.com and review Drive For Show.
